AOCDS Board of Directors
The following website presents a plan to
address public pension and retiree health care funding
issues across the state of California. Although the
entire report is 337 pages, I strongly encourage all
active and retired AOCDS members to read the first 17
pages of this report. As all of us are aware the two
issues of pensions and retiree health care are extremely
important to our membership and our families.
I want to personally thank two of the
Public Employee Post-Employment Benefits Commission
members for their efforts in making sure that labor was
in fact fully represented on this commission.
Lieutenant Ron Cottingham, President of the Peace
Officers Research Association of California (PORAC) and
Dave Low, Chairman of the Californian's for Health Care
and Retirement Security truly went "above and beyond the
call of duty" in their service to all of California's
public employees.
