The AOCDS Memorial Fund is an officially recognized IRS 501(C)3 tax deductible charitable organization that directly assists the surviving families of our fallen Orange County deputy sheriffs who have made the ultimate sacrifice. The AOCDS Memorial Fund has distributed more than $1 million in donations since 2005, allowing us to assist our active and retired Orange County deputy sheriffs, their families and the loved ones of other fallen heroes during times of need as well as providing students with scholarships to help make college a reality.
Donations made to our Memorial Fund helped a deputy retrofit his home to allow him to care for his 17-year-old son who was badly injured in a car accident, assisted the family of another young deputy battling cystic fibrosis, a disease that would eventually take his life, and provide food and lodging for family members keeping vigil by the hospital bed of a Medal of Courage recipient who collapsed during SWAT tryouts.
The annual AOCDS Memorial Golf Tournament and Guns and Hoses motorcycle ride have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to benefit our deputies in need. AOCDS is humbled and proud to provide for our own.
