Since its inception in 2000, the AOCDS annual Memorial Golf Tournament is the largest fundraiser for the AOCDS Memorial Fund. The AOCDS Memorial Fund is an officially recognized IRS 501(c)(3) tax deductible charitable organization. It directly assists the surviving families of our fallen Orange County deputy sheriffs who have made the ultimate sacrifice to the citizens of our great county as well as fallen peace officers throughout California and the United States. The fund also assists our active and retired Orange County deputy sheriffs and their families, as well as fallen peace officers during times of need. In addition, the fund contributes to students deserving of college scholarships. The AOCDS Memorial Fund does not charge an administrative fee which means every penny donated to the Memorial Fund is distributed to those in need.
Each year, more than 200 golfers and volunteers join together to help support and raise money for the AOCDS Memorial Fund. The tournament is typically held on the first Monday after Father's Day at the Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club.
