Alexa has been in public safety for a number of years as an EMT and more recently with Orange County Fire Authority. At OCFA she oversaw several public safety campaigns including drowning prevention and wildfire safety. She served as the secretary for the Orange County Drowning Prevention Task Force, developing the yearly campaign and coordinating press events. She has been the public information officer during major incidents and has experience in the Emergency Operations Center as well as Joint Information Center.
Alexa holds a Communications degree from the University of San Francisco and a master’s degree in Health and Strategic Communication from Chapman University. In addition, she holds certificates related to public speaking, social media, crisis communications, and public safety.
Along with her experience and education, Alexa is a long-time resident of Orange County and is passionate about educating our community on public safety matters.
