Dan Bohling was elected to the AOCDS Board of Directors in 2023 as the D.A. Investigator Rep and has been an AOCDS member since 2016. Prior to getting elected, he served as an Area Rep and was on the Political Action Committee (PAC).

Dan began his law enforcement career with the Fullerton Police Department and served for over 30 years. His assignments at Fullerton included patrol, motor officer, investigations, Senior Officer, Field Training Officer, Gang Investigator and Narcotics Investigator. After being promoted to Sergeant I, he returned to patrol, and completed his career as a Sergeant in the Traffic Bureau. As a collateral duty, Dan also spent 24 years on the FPD SWAT team which later combined with other North Orange County agencies to create North County SWAT. He deployed both as a sniper and as an entry team leader. He was also very active in the Fullerton Police Officers’ Association serving as both President and Vice President as well as a watch rep.

Dan was hired in 2014 as a D.A. Investigator and worked assignments in Branch Courts and Auto Insurance Fraud. He is currently in the Gang Unit.
