Our thoughts and prayers are with the San Jose police officer who was critically injured in the line of duty Tuesday afternoon.
According to authorities, the officer was shot during an encounter with an armed robbery suspect in San Jose and remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition. The suspect was killed during the shootout.
AOCDS stands with our brothers and sisters at the San Jose Police Department and the officer’s family, friends and fellow officers during this difficult time.

This morning, Orange County Sheriff’s Academy Class 271 came together for the Fallen Officer Memorial Run, honoring the law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.
Despite today’s extreme heat, recruits pushed through every mile with determination, carrying with them the memory of those who came before - officers whose courage, service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
AOCDS was proud to be there to support Class 271 and provide lunch for the recruits following the run as they completed this meaningful Academy tradition.

Today, we mourn alongside the LasVegasMetro Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the entire law enforcement community following the line-of-duty death of Officer Austin Abdelnabi.
Officer Abdelnabi, a Marine veteran and dedicated public servant, made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting his community. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, fellow officers, and all those grieving this unimaginable loss.
The badge is more than a profession—it’s a promise to serve others, often at great personal risk. Today, we honor Officer Abdelnabi’s courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to that promise.

🐾 🥁Drumroll please… Pipers and paws united to support a recent Garden Grove Police Department K-9 training and our very own AOCDS pipe band provided live bagpipe music as part of the exercise.
Police K-9 teams are trained to perform in challenging, real-world environments where they may encounter loud, unexpected noises, large crowds, and other distractions. Exposing the dogs to the powerful sound of bagpipes during training helps build confidence, maintain focus, and reinforce obedience under stressful conditions- ensuring they remain calm and effective when it matters most.
We are proud the AOCDS Pipe Band can play a small role in preparing these incredible K-9 teams for the important work they do every day to protect our communities.
