Today, we remember and honor Sgt. Matthew R. Davis, who served the Orange County Sheriff’s Department with dedication, professionalism, and integrity.
Sgt. Davis began his career with OCSD in 1986, serving in custody, patrol, commercial vehicle enforcement, and as a Motor Officer and Motor Sergeant.
On September 20, 2002, Sgt. Davis was involved in an on-duty traffic collision in Mission Viejo. He passed away two days later on September 22. Twenty-four years later, his legacy of service and sacrifice lives on.
Today and always, Sgt. Davis is never forgotten. ...
