On Sunday evening, a little more than a week since Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer was killed, a crowd more than 300 strong gathered in Santa Clarita’s Marketplace Park to remember his life and mourn his untimely passing.

We are shocked and horrified by the senseless murder of a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputy last night. Please join us in sending our thoughts and prayers to Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer, his family, and his L.A. County Sheriff’s Department brothers and sisters.

Every year on September 11th, the United States recognizes Patriot Day to honor all those who lost their lives as a result of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. In accordance with the Patriot Day law, all Orange County Sheriff’s Department facilities will fly their flags at half-staff today, Monday, September 11, 2023.

The Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs is proud to announce that we have been working with Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer to create a Crimes Against Peace Officers (CAPO) Unit.

Today, on National Peace Officers Memorial Day, and every day, we honor those brave men and women of law enforcement who put their lives on the line to protect others and tragically lost their lives in the process. We pay tribute to one of our own, Deputy Sheriff Carlos J. Cammon, who passed away in the line of duty on August 23, 2019.

Please join us in honoring, remembering and paying tribute to the law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

The Orange County Board of Supervisors met at their regularly scheduled board meeting this morning and, by a unanimous vote, approved the CONTRACT AGREEMENT between AOCDS and the County of Orange.

Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes said Wednesday he is terminating the county’s agreement with U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement to house federal detainees, saying he needs the jail space to accommodate growing numbers of inmates with mental health issues.
