On Friday, September 22, the City of San Juan Capistrano and Orange County Sheriff’s Department honored the life and memory of Deputy Brian Haney, who passed away on February 9, 2023.
Deputy Haney, who was assigned to San Juan Capistrano Police Services, was a six-year veteran of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and a member of the Critical Incident Response Team.
To commemorate his service and dedication to our community, the City Council approved the dedication of a flagpole and memorial boulder located at the Community Center. Deputy Haney is survived by his wife Leslee and son Cole.
