After an extended and potentially dangerous squabble over which agency is better equipped to handle air rescues, Orange County fire and sheriff’s officials said Wednesday they’ve come up with a plan that emphasizes teamwork and will enable safer and more efficient emergency responses.

UPDATE: It has come to our attention that the delivery of some of the benefits packets were unexpectedly delayed. Due to this delay, we have decided to extend Open Enrollment for one full week – until Friday, June 1, 2018.
The Orange County Registrar of Voters has confirmed that incumbent Roger Hilton has won the OCERS Board of Retirement Safety Member election. The unofficial cumulative report shows that the AOCDS 1st vice president received nearly 64% of the votes. His challenger, OC firefighter Jeremy Vallone, received about 36%.
AOCDS will be closed on Memorial Day in honor of those who have died while serving our country’s armed forces. Please also take a moment to remember law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. AOCDS will reopen Tuesday, May 29th at 8:00 a.m.
