RE: Director Appointment

I am pleased to announce that Francisco Ochoa has been appointed by the AOCDS Board of Directors as the newest board member from our recently added bargaining units consisting of probation officers, Sheriff-Coroner investigators, public assistance investigators and park rangers.

Francisco has been with the Orange County Probation Department since 2006. While there, he has been an active Probation Service Unit (PSU) union member, serving as president, and also steward. Prior to becoming a Supervising Juvenile Correctional Officer (SJCO), Francisco served our country in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer for 10 years. In both the military and probation, Francisco was able to hone his leadership skills, administrative experience and strategic problem-solving.

Francisco has five children, most of whom are grown, but the youngest is 10 years old. He says he is honored and excited to have been chosen as the seventh member of the AOCDS Board of Directors and is ready to take on this new chapter in his professional life. Francisco looks forward to representing the entire AOCDS membership.

Please join us in welcoming him to his new role.

Respectfully,

Tom Dominguez
